The Ponce Therapy Care Center is looking for a Full Time Transportation Coordinator to join their staff.

Job Summary:

The Transportation Coordinator/Driver is responsible for coordinating and providing transportation services for residents to medical appointments, personal errands, outings, and other scheduled trips. This role ensures safety, punctuality, and a respectful experience for all residents during transportation.

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications Of A Transportation Coordinator/Driver

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • A valid CNA liscense
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL with passenger endorsement preferred, if required by state law).

  • Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist residents with limited mobility.

  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Of A Transportation Coordinator/Driver

  • Safely operate facility-owned vehicles to transport residents to medical appointments, therapy, outings, etc.

  • Maintain transportation schedule and coordinate with nursing, activities, and administrative staff.

  • Ensure residents are assisted in and out of the vehicle as needed, including those using wheelchairs or mobility aids.

  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

  • Keep accurate transportation logs and documentation.

  • Communicate any resident concerns or incidents to appropriate staff.

  • Assist with other transportation or logistics duties as needed.
